A sore butt and 102 miles later, I did manage to get a few pictures from the ‘back seat.’

Weekend . . .
This morning, we picked up my prescription at the drug store, then bought fresh corn at a nearby veggie stand. Tomatoes aren’t plentiful yet, but the corn is awesome. I hope everyone gets a chance to enjoy this year’s crop!
Tammy's Taters - if I'm counting correctly, the town has at last three chip stands. Tammy's fries ae pretty good!

August Days are Almost Over . . .
Yesterday, Bruce picked his ATV up at the service center. These are pictures taken with my Canada cell phone as he unloaded it from the truck. I love how I can get pictures from the phone to my netbook using bluetooth. Our sunflowers are reaching for the sky, you can see how much they have grown. But in order to see how tall they actually are, I have to remember to take some pictures from another angle.
These were taken the other evening – dark clouds were awesome.
In eight more days, we’ll be hooking up and heading south with the trailer.

Another Weekend is Here!
The weather is finally starting to cool after a hot, hot summer. Well, most of it was hot. Since our Kingston camping vacation, we haven’t done much of anything – thus no new pictures to post.
I have been busy planning a road trip from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, then up the coast to Seattle. Hotels are booked! Bruce has already made our air travel and hotel reservations in Vegas, with a return flight from Seattle. This time in better health, I will be able to enjoy it all. Our trip is scheduled for early October.

A Bunch of Rednecks!
Yesterday, Bruce headed out to the ‘bush’ with son, Rick, and grandson, Ayden. I’m surprised Bruce remembered to take his camera and snap a few pictures.

A Busy Morning!
First, I had to go to the lab for blood work. The doctor is checking on my cholesterol, liver and hemoglobin. Then we were off to Home Hardware to buy some lumber for Bruce’s gate. He already has it finished and put in place.
Good job, Bruce!

The Joke Was On Me!
I mentioned earlier that I bought a new webcam – it seemed to have everything. The quality of the picture was equal to a digital camera – 8 megapixels. It even does a fantastic job in low light, which is what we have in our computer room. I’ve also had a couple of chats with my friend Shirley in Texas. But after spending at least two days trying to get the speaker to work, I wrote to Logitech. My reply back from them, the Pro 9000 doesn’t have a speaker. Duh? How on earth did I think it had a speaker – I guess in it’s description it said it had RightSound Technology which I know now refers to the microphone. With this ‘new discovery,’ I’m quite happy with the unit.
Anyone have Skype?

Just What I Needed!
My new webcam is a Logitech - QuickCam Pro 9000. It wasn't what I had in mind when I walked into Staples, but the fact that it had 'auto-focus' sold me. Bruce pointed that feature out to me! (Thanks Bruce!)
I installed the software and tested it with Skype. The speaker didn't work, but after changing some system settings, I'm now up and running. Shirley, Brenda - call me!

Another Weekend!
My Texas friend, Shirly, has discovered Skype on her computer and after clicking on a few buttons, signalled me for a video call. We are going to have fun with that in the future. We just have to make sure we and everyone around us are decent!

August!
Haven't really been doing much - I've been playing with my new Canada cell phone. Disappointed that it doesn't have all the features my US ATT phone has, but then I rarely use the Canada one. Being able to transfer pictures to my computer via Bluetooth from the Canada phone is quick and easy and if I want to send e-mails, I will have to add that feature onto the plan. I'm thinking I can do this whenever we vacation in Canada - it's only $10 a month. After the month, I can unsubscribe.
In four weeks, we'll be packing up the trailer and heading to Granby. I still need to plan a mini-stop heading home - wonder where we should go.
