We Made it to PEI!
It seemed like a very long trip – maybe because the time changed on us and we lost an hour. Nothing exciting on the drive – road construction and a lot of trees.
Road Trip–Canada’s East Coast - 2013
Our first day on the road wasn’t eventful (thank goodness). As we approached Montreal, we hopped on the bypass that would take us south of the city. Our poor GPS didn’t have a clue as to what was going on. The bypass just opened at the first of the year and no one informed our Garmin.
We arrived in Riviere du-Loups around 2:30P.M.

Our Spring Vacation!
Instead of heading to Granby for the Memorial Day weekend, we arrived there the next day, trailer in tow. We had our usual reservations at Andy’s Acres (my nephew’s house).
We picked up my sister, asked Andy if he wanted to go with us for dinner, he had other plans but Deven accepted our invite. We gave Deven a choice of where he wanted to go – he suggested Iciban's in South Hadley. Bruce tried to eat the orange flower, but to his shock, it was held together with toothpicks!
We did our usual shopping the day, then met some friends for dinner. On Thursday after another day of shopping, we picked up my sister – plans were to grill some burgers.

Dinner at the Brewmaster's Tavern in Williamsburg. Great food!
On Saturday, we had a cookout. Highlight was Lou & Millie’s pulled pork roast. So good! We had tons of delicious food. The downside to the day was that it was so hot.
On Sunday, we pulled out and headed to Clayton, NY. The first full day we were there turned out to be cold, but the next day was perfect. We took a ferry out to Bold Castle and did the tour. It’s just an awesome, beautiful place.
