Last Day of the Year!

How quickly the year went by.  It’s true, the older you get, the faster times flies by. 

This morning, Smoky was in and out.  Sometimes we lose track of him.  Bruce & I both thought he was outside, I even checked all his favorite sleeping spots to make sure he wasn’t in the house.  After a few hours, I was beginning to worry.  I imagined him collapsed in a snow bank somewhere after a heated battle.  As a matter of fact, he just got over one of those.  So in a futile attempt, I rang the Santa bells that we have on the back door.  They kind of act like a signal for him to come home.  Then all of a sudden, he appeared!  He had been sleeping in the dining room under the table the whole time.

And the day after Christmas.  It was a fun day, however I did manage to drink too much wine.  I hardly ever drink anything, so I guess I got carried away.

More Snow!

Poor Bruce – more snow removal. This time from the roof. Smoky still won’t go outside for more than a few minutes. His favorite path is snow covered – no way to visit ‘orange cat’ who lives a few houses from us. It's going to be a long winter!

Did I Want More Snow!

NO! But it snowed and snowed. Yesterday we ventured out to the grocery store and a much needed haircut for me. I only had my cell – it’s camera capabilities are limited – but I did manage to get a few pictures. It won’t be difficult to see that we now have a lot of snow. Definitely a White Christmas this year!

Tis the Season

That keeps on giving. This morning, more snow. Bruce was at it again this morning. In this picture, he is removing snow and ice from a neighbor’s driveway across from us.

While I had my camera out, I took a picture of Smoky’s healing head. He’s been recuperating these past few days from a fight he had with another cat. Makes you wonder how the other cat is doing.

We’re expecting about a foot of new snow!  UGH!  Poor Smoky, looks like he’ll be house-bound until spring!

I’m Trying to Do Some Catching Up!

Last night we visited Rob & Shannon for a small party. Shannon enjoys cooking, so she prepared some delicious snacks. We also were introduced to their new dog, Chuck. I’m sorry, but I didn’t get a picture of him – he was never in one spot long enough for me to snap a picture. I did manage to get a few pictures, tho . . .

I bet you are wondering about the lamp. This was originally owned by a couple that Bruce knew – both who are deceased. So the lamp has fond memories.

Pizza Friday!

A week ago, I made a pizza with a sauce recipe that I had copied from the Internet. It was supposed to taste similar to Pizza Hut’s. It was good! But my cousin, Donna, suggested another way to make a pizza using just olive oil, garlic, and Roma tomatoes. She sent me the recipe and I made it! Was it good? It was excellent!!!!!

After the tomatoes, I put on additional toppings also making sure to put on a ton of cheese. Bruce said it was the best pizza so far. Thanks Donna for sharing your recipe.

Another Day - More Snow!

I think there was another two to three inches this morning. Soon, Bruce will have to get out the snow blower.

What a Difference a Day Makes . . .

Snow today. Snapped a couple pictures of Bruce chatting it up with Smoky. Smoky isn’t too happy about all the white stuff.

Also made another pizza last night. I still have to find the perfect sauce recipe, but the one I used was pretty darn good!
