Day After the Day Before!

Well, Thanksgiving is now behind us, but we have leftovers – so grateful for those. I love them. Everything was done to perfection and Bruce and I ‘gobbled’ up our dinner and later had pie and ice cream. All night long while trying to find a comfortable position to sleep – my stomach ached! I also had some weird dreams.

Here are a couple of pictures of our festivities.

Looks so good!Bruce and the bird.

We later had some nasty weather – freezing rain. When we woke up this morning, everything was covered in a white crust. But Smoky insisted on going out – I thought for sure he’d get a blast of that cold air and refuse to go out. He made his rounds and is now curled up on the back of the couch.

Holiday Tomorrow!

I’ve already baked two pies – squash and a berry! I’m really looking forward to a huge turkey dinner tomorrow.

A few days ago, a popup appeared on my monitor telling me about a new software package – Windows Essentials 2011. I had been using the older programs, Live Writer, Live Mail, Live Movie Maker – and thought this update would be fun to use. NOT! The only one I’m having a problem with is the mail program. It has totally changed. I’ve spent a few days trying to learn it – and I think I’ve got it. But it is going to be more work! I won’t go into it all here, but read about the package before you download and install it.

Here are a few pictures I took today – my pies and my Smoky!

Christmas Tree Is Up!!!

And I’ve been enjoying it for a few days. OK, I know Thanksgiving isn’t even here, but the neighborhood is already putting up their decorations! I can’t be left behind. This year, I've changed my main color from blue to red.

Nice Day!

So nice, we're going to grill out a couple of t-bone steaks. With it, we'll have Bruce's famous Caesar salad. YUM!

At deer camp in the deep woods of Ontario, Bruce's son Jeff and grandson Tyler each shot a doe. Yippee - deer meat for the winter! UGH! I won't eat it, would you?

Can It Be?

Yes, winter is just around the corner.  Temperatures in the morning are now below freezing.  Thanksgiving is only a week or two away and I’m already thinking about putting up my Christmas tree.  I’m changing the colors this year, so am anxious to see how it’s going to look.  Of course I’ll put posting pictures.

Bruce is Back Home!

Bruce drove into the driveway early Monday morning, much earlier than expected. Here are his pictures. Others in the pictures are his sons - Rick, Rob and Jeff. And a grandson, Ayden.

While Bruce was gone, Smoky took over his computer chair!

And to make the day really exciting, the power went out in our computer room while Bruce was showering. Thank goodness Bruce is a man of many trades. He was able to locate and fix the problem.

Off to Deer Camp!

Tomorrow is the big day for Bruce and his ‘boys.’ They are heading to the hunt camp. Bruce will be there over the weekend and Rick, Rob, Jeff – should be there a week if they can last that long. I’ve kidded Bruce that he has more stuff going for his three day weekend than what he took on our two week vacation!!

He also has to remember to take ice cubes out of the freezer and sliced meat out of the fridge! Smile
