For a special treat to myself, I bought a new, tiny pocket camera. It’s about the size of a credit card. I’ve wanted a little camera for years, but the size of the zoom and the megapixels of other cameras have always swayed me away from one. I saw a couple at Wal-Mart, wrote down the models, came home and did my research then made my selection. I’m charging the battery, so no pictures yet.

Another Friday!
Not much going on today or the weekend. My sister reports that they again are getting another snow storm. We, on the other hand, just got a dusting overnight. But the cold insists on hanging around. Today it is 12F degrees.
Since things are quiet here, I thought I’d copy a few pictures from Rob & Shannon’s vacation trip to British Columbia. Beautiful country, lots of snow! Shannon takes awesome pictures.

How Cold Is It?
Too cold! Seriously, it was minus 10F this morning. But as the day progresses, it has been warming up. Only minus 8F now. Bruce bundled up with his Fargo hat and headed out for his morning walk.
I noticed another cat wandering around the street heading towards our back door. I quickly went outside, scooped Smoky up and brought him into the house. I don’t need him getting into another fight, getting an infection, and being sick for days. Last time he was in a fight, he had a wound on the top of his head which got infected resulting in a bald spot about the size of a dime.
This month has been so quiet – nothing going on!

Waiting for the Truck!
I ordered a new HP computer on Monday and it is on the truck for today’s delivery. I can’t wait. My current computer uses Vista as the operating system and although it has been stable for the most part, I've heard good reviews about Windows 7 since it was released and have wanted a new desktop ever since.

Christmas is Over!
Was everyone doing the same thing I was doing this morning? One good thing about taking the tree down, that goes a lot quicker than putting it up. Bruce helped with the hardest part – stuffing it all back into the box it came in. With that said, it’s packed away until November 2011.
We had prime rib last night to celebrate the new year. It was awesome. Today, I made a lemon sponge pie – his mom’s recipe.
My next project is hooking up one of my old computers to my TV. I figure if I do that, I can watch movies off the movie network. On our next trip to WalMart, we have to buy a special cable – DVI something. I’ll keep you posted on how that works out. We’ve watched a couple of ‘how-to’ videos on YouTube - Bruce says he knows now what to do.
