Chicopee Sportsmen's Club is about a mile from my sister's house. We dry camped there from Thursday until Wednesday. That means no electricity, running water or sewage. Weather was great, but some nights were pretty cold!
Quabbin Reservoir is about 15 miles from Granby. As kids, we were always going for a ride through the area. Unfortunately since 911, it is no longer possible to drive across the dam.
Kellogg Hall in Granby - a quick picture taken from the truck's window!! If you click on the link, there are more pictures of Granby - and the old picture of the Police Department, a neighbor, Dwight Tucker, and my brother-in-law's dad, Ed Martin, and his sister's husband, Myron Ingham, are in that picture.
We left Granby on Wednesday because the weather report said it was going to rain for the next few days. Being in a trailer without electricity or heat wasn't that appealing, so we decided to head for New York. We stayed at the Turning Stone Campground for three nights. We later found out there wasn't much to do in the area other than gamble at the casino.
The black clouds even followed us back to Canada!
