Birthday Celebration . . .

Rob celebrated his birthday on the 17th and last night we got together. It was fun, Shannon did a lot of work to get the evening off to a great start. Treaters galore, ending with burgers and salads. Yummy!

Some people I hadn't met before this night. I think the fellow on the left is Dave. That's Shannon in the background, Rob, then Wayne. Everyone seems to congregate in the kitchen.

Fellow holding his head up was very nice, but I didn't get his name, nor the girl with the wine glass. I do know she is Phil's girlfriend. Phil is Rob's step-brother.

Facebook . . .

What a great tool it is for finding long lost relatives and friends. I think I’ve searched a number of years for a cousin – I knew where he lived, but could never find him online.  I searched his son’s name on FB, found him – and when I clicked on his friends list – there was his dad.

Using Facebook, I have found other family and friends – thank you Facebook.  My cousin is the little guy on the left.  The little girl next to him with the knobby knees is me!!!

And Bruce Keeps On Shoveling!

More snow yesterday – about nine inches. But the sun came out and it turned out to be a beautiful day. And I got to take more pictures with my little camera using the 'vivid’ setting.

I Know . . .

That we don’t have as much snow as Massachusetts, but I still like to complain. Yes, it’s snowing here this morning. I think we have about four inches of new white, fluffy stuff. Bruce is off to Canadian Tire to see about his battery warranty. A couple of times now the truck hasn’t started and it's battery is fairly new.

To keep us warm, I made a pot of mulligatawny soup. It’s one of my favorites. When I worked at the AEtna in Hartford, the cafeteria would have it from time to time. I think everyone liked it there, too.

And I also took a few snow pictures.

What a Fun Little Camera!

For the past few days, I have been familiarizing myself with the settings. I haven’t taken any exciting or unusual pictures, but those I have taken, I am quite pleased with them.
