When we arrived home last week, Bruce noticed a nest had been built over our backdoor motion light. Our first check into the nest, there was one egg. Yesterday, I peeked again - three lovely aqua eggs. So far, Mother Robin has managed to keep her eggs warm in spite of our going in and out the door. They should hatch in another week. Then I have to worry about Smoky - I plan on protecting the baby birds - from what I've read, they will be ready to leave the nest in about three weeks. Maybe I can keep Smoky inside until they fly away!
