We left on the 31st of August and stayed in Granby for six nights at Andy’s Acres. Actually, we set up camp in my nephew’s yard after he offered us electricity and water. A plus was being hooked up to his Wi-FI. Andy had a special treat for us when we arrived – a home-cooked turkey dinner. What a treat – he had fresh corn, sweet potatoes, broccoli, and various desserts to finish the meal.
My new HP netbook.

We drove through Monson where a tornado went through a few weeks ago.
We then headed to Catskill, NY for another couple of days before starting home.
We didn’t realize that the area had been flooded from the last hurricane. The first night we were there, it rained heavily – I even looked out during the night to make sure we weren’t floating away.
Rip Van Winkle Bridge.
A washed out road.
We found this restaurant – name was Port of Call – it had been flooded during the hurricane – the waiter said the water was three feet high inside the restaurant.
Heading home, every road we tried to take was blocked. At one area, the road had been washed away, we waited while a section of it was smoothed out so that we could pass.
Corn fields were flattened.
I don’t know where this was, but felt really bad for the owners of these homes.
We finally made it to the border – two hours later than anticipated. We were thankful to be home.
