Monday! This was the day to pick up my sister and head for Maine. Once we got into New Hampshire, we found Lindt Chocolates – wow! Talk about kids in a candy store. By the time we left, we had bought about three pounds of assorted chocolates.
We also found a New Hampshire State Liquor Store – no need to elaborate on what was purchased there.
Heading north, we followed the coast and finally found our motel – Jupitor Hill Motel. Very nice. I had picked out a couple restaurants that I thought would have deals on lobsters. We drove by – they were closed. Instead of continuing our search, I mentioned going back to Warren’s Lobster House. They have a huge buffet and terrific seafood choices. The lobster was way more than I wanted to pay, so I settle on another meal – it was good, by won’t be one of my favorites. Few pictures – us and our desserts.
On Tuesday . . .
We checked the internet to see when the Kittery Trading Post opened. Nine – so off we went. My sister found a couple of tops and a fancy pair of socks. Bruce found a new leather wallet and a zippered top. Me – nothing. I pushed my sister around in a wheel chair so that she wouldn’t get tired. Think I need a few lessons on wheelchair pushing.
After the trading post, we drove to Freeport and LL Bean. We stopped for an early dinner on the way back to the motel.
Wednesday – we started back to Granby. I don’t know what our GPS was thinking, but after Gloucester, we ended up in Boston picking up the Mass Pike.
