We Made It!

It seemed to take forever to get here and we thought we were taking a shortcut by catching the ferry across Lake Champlain. Really not too much ice left on the lake. On the Vermont side, we stopped for lunch at Champ's Diner - had a huge Italian sub, Bruce had a Philly Cheese Steak sub - both excellent. We also got French fries which we couldn't finish. Cutting across the mountain, I know the name of the road, just can't spell it, but it's Route 112. We finally got to the condo around 4:45. And much to my surprise, AT&T must have put up some cell phone towers because I know have a signal for my phone. I can call everyone! How great is that.

We're waiting for the group to get their act together and we're going to Yesterday's for breakfast. After that, we do have to grocery shop and maybe stop at a few stores to check them out. LL Bean has a brand new outlet - it looks gigantic. Definitely want to go there.

As far as dinner, we're thinking the crowds should have all gone home by then. We didn't go out last night because it seemed every restaurant was full with skiers - it's been a great season this year.

But now that I know I can get a signal for Internet, I'll be able to post each day. The trick was to put the laptop as close to the condo office as I could. It's a gorgeous day and I think it's going to be a warm one. Might have to buy a light jacket - I only have my winter one. Yesterday, it was 52F degrees.
