We woke up this morning around 5:30 - Bruce kept hearing loud sounds outside. I finally got up and looked out the window. Several huge dump trucks were circling the block clearing snow from the sides of the street. Now up, I decided to start getting ready. As I was about to put on my makeup, the lights went out. At first I thought it was Bruce turning off the hall light. Not so. As I searched for my little LED light, I said to myself - the heck with the makeup - I‘ll go as is. Finally with both of us carrying flashlights we finished getting ready, kissed Smoky goodbye and headed out the door. We had planned to stop at Tim’s for coffee and a breakfast sandwich - but the place was dark. They had also lost their power. What are all the morning people going to do without their coffees? We drove to the next town, found another Tim's and our diet was forgotten. After a month of watching carbs and calories - we gave it all up for breakfast sandwiches and a couple of muffins.
But we didn't stop there - on the NY interstate, we stopped for burgers and a salad, then ended the day with Chinese food in Belchertown. We're now in our motel room and settled in for the night. Tomorrow is another day.
