More Route 66 and the Hoover Dam!

When we returned to our room after dinner, I guess I didn't pull the door shut. During the night, I woke up to see the door slightly ajar, the room freezing. I quickly hopped out of bed to close it. The reported temperature for the night was 8F. Plans for the morning were to head out, stop for breakfast at some Route 66 restaurant and tour the Hoover Dam.

Before we left, Bruce took some pictures of the sun starting to fall across the canyon - beautiful.

These are the canyon mules - they are much larger than I expected.

In Williams, we found the perfect restaurant for breakfast - Pine Country. I had biscuits with sausage gravy and hash brown potatoes - Bruce had a huge omelet and hash browns. All done perfectly.

Another picture capturing old Route 66 . . .

A tractor trailer on its side and more highway traffic -

Finally, the Hoover Dam!
