Our Trip to Lake Mead

As you drive around the strip, you can't help but notice the tractor trailers advertising 'Hot Babes - girls that want to meet you.' The whole trailer has semi-nude girls on them. Also, every five feet or so on the sidewalk there were men (and women) advertising where you could get a girl in 20 minutes. Most of the tourist pretty much looked like us - jeans, etc., but every once in awhile you will see gals wearing skin tight jeans with muffin tops or skirts that barely cover their butts, and high-heel boots or platform shoes. Over the years, the water level in the lake has dropped almost 100 feet.

As we drove along, Bruce noticed a fence about 10 inches high that followed the road. He wondered what the fence was for - I told him it was to keep the rocks from moving around the desert. {Smile} On the way out, he stopped at the guard station to inquire. The fences are to keep the desert tortoises from wandering onto the road.

Back at our hotel, we decided to head up the tower -
