On our way to Ogdensburg to pick up the first leg of our trip, the truck started to shake just outside of Ottawa - thinking that it might be a tire, Bruce quickly pulled over. Tires were all fine, so we started again. The next thing that happened to the truck, the cruise stopped working - and later the truck shook again. We did make it to Ogdensburg with plenty of time to spare, so we looked for a car wash. When we were in line waiting, the woman in the car in front decided to back up. What else can happen? Bruce got out of the truck and asked the woman if she had a 'rearview' mirror. She of course said she did, then Bruce asked her 'why she didn't use it.' No damage to either vehicles! We found the airport, parked the truck and took our bags inside. What a friendly staff - we had a nice chat with everyone and waited for our departure time. Our plane was just outside the door!
The pilots looked so young - early 20s. As we took off, the plane was caught by a wind current and we sort of went sideways. Bruce and I gave each other 'a look.'
We landed in Albany, caught our next flight to JFK and found a restaurant for a quick bite to eat.

The flight from JFK to Las Vegas was just over six hours and seemed to take forever. It seemed like we never got away from EST and never reset our watches. That made the time we arrived just after three in the morning.
