On to West Virginia!

We were going to visit the New River Gorge Bridge a few years ago on our travels, but we ended up looking for the Moth Man. On this trip, we planned it into our itinerary. We crossed the bridge and found the Visitor Center where we grabbed a map and headed out following the path to the bridge. I don’t know exactly what we had expected, but we were disappointed in the view. If you wanted a better view, you had to go down stairs – then climb back up – Bruce said it was equivalent to climbing the stairs of a 60 story building. We quickly ruled out that option!

More scenic pictures of foliage and fog . . .

This was all we could see of the bridge.

Looking for our hotel, our GPS took us on a tour through the country side (since I didn’t have the street number of the hotel – just the street).

We finally found our hotel – Sleep In in Bridgeport, WV.
