Over the next few days, I want to tell you about our road trip which started on October 1 and ended on October 15. I do believe we like doing these road trips much more than dealing with the hassles of flying.
Over several weeks of planning, I had worked out a spreadsheet where we would be on the road for a total of 18 days, but on our first day out, we discovered the first stop would be too early in the day. Instead, we continued on to Windsor, ON, and spent the night there. In the morning, we crossed the border into Detroit.
The Go Train heading into Toronto.
This is Saturday’s traffic in Toronto – imagine what it is on a week day.
Crossing the bridge into Detroit. Can you tell I love bridges?
Border crossing . . .
This is the stadium in Cincinnati.
Finally into Kentucky.
Our hotel in Clarksville, Indiana – just over the river from Louisville.
In the morning, we headed out to do some sight-seeing. Specifically the Bourbon Trail. Our first stop was Jim Beam, the second – Markers Mark.
The next day, we decided to check out the Louisville Slugger Museum.
