No, we didn’t see the Steelers, but the whole city absolutely loves their team. Steelers T-Shirts everywhere. We found the hotel/motel that I had picked out – drove around the grounds – then stopped in to see if they had a room for us. They did and we took it for two nights. The room was awesome – very large with a full-size kitchen. Not that we were cooking or eating in, but it’s nice to have.
We were on the first floor – even had a small balcony.
Our drive to Pittsburgh was short, so we had a whole afternoon to start checking out the city. It was a beautiful day, so we thought we would do the tram ride up Mt. Washington because the weather forecast for the following day wasn’t the greatest.
Tracks going up to the top of Mt. Washington.
That’s our red truck in the parking lot.
A stranger offered to take our picture.
Scary, huh? That’s Bruce in the red shirt.
Looking down . . . oh my!
In the tram looking out over the city.
Inside . . .
The other car coming up.
Olive Garden for dinner – that’s my meal – I think it’s called a sampler. Way too much food. We had enough leftovers for the next day’s meal.
I’ll tell you about our bus tour tomorrow – hop on, hop off.
