We drove to the doctor's office for my shot. I was fortunate that I didn't have to wait - I was in and out in a matter of minutes. His assistant commented that they hadn't seen me for a long time! I guess that's because I don't go to the doctor unless I'm cornered and have been requested to make an appointment for blood work or whatever!
Our next stop was at Canadian Tire where I checked out their display of Christmas trees. The one I liked cost $350, way more than I wanted to spend. We left there and went to Wal-Mart. Their trees were more reasonably priced, but didn't look any better than my old 20 year old tree. Plans are now to have Bruce make a sturdy base for me, with that the old tree would work out fine!
