A Quiet Day -

Nothing planned for today - thought maybe I'd look back at some of my old pictures.

For many years, we'd plan a bike trip in June. On separate occasions, we've gone to Cape Cod, Newport, Bar Harbor, Lake George, etc. In 2003, we headed to Gettysburg. Bruce's son, Rob, was home on vacation so it was a perfect time to plan a week away. We also rode the Skyline Trail in Virginia on this trip: but for now, I'll just upload a few of the pictures I took around Gettysburg. We are great admirers of Joshua Chamberlain who led the 20th Maine to victory on the second day of the battle - thus the pictures of his home in Maine in my "End of Summer Vacation" pictures.

Bruce and Rob - a quick stop for lunch at McDonald's.

We're lost - this was a time before we had a GPS.

In Gettysburg, we rode around on our own, but later took a bus tour of the battlefields. The tour was well worth the money - it started with the first day battle to Pickett's Charge.
